No cammera cord...boo...
I can't find the stupid cammera cord and the video card reader isn't recognizing any of the pictures I just took, so you will have to wait till I figure it out or till Clint gets home....did you take it with you to Kuwait???
We miss dad (not mine, my baby's)
One week down, one more to go (with this trip anyways). I kinda feel like it's been more like a month (I just got done telling Clint that). Not a whole lot of updates this week. It has been kinda hectic with work and all and being a single "dog mom." I even forgot about a massage yesterday morning (she called and asked if I had gotten in an accident or something - whoops)! I actually thought her massage was today. Anyways, it all worked out. I finally figured out how to use the self timer on the digital cammera!!! So here is my fatty picture:) Oscar made it into this one too as he constantly follows me to whatever room I am in. No rest for him as I am on the go...P.S. she now moves around even when I am at work, so maybe my theory about her being put to sleep by my moving around was false. Yesterday I only had one baby in Special Care and I got to rock her for an hour (work is rough sometimes, I know), and MY baby was kicking away at the one I was holding (maybe she wanted some attention too)...

Week 24: we have reached viability/ Beth and Mary get their Sari's
So I was laying on the couch this morning watching pregnancy for dummies as I am still obsessed with all shows related to pregnancy and birth (ongoing from childhood when I would check out fetal development books from the library), when I saw my stomach move, no once, but 3 times! It was kinda strange since she's just getting strong enough to feel her slightly from the outside (in fact, clint got to feel her for the first time this week). I must have been in just the right position I guess, and they were pretty strong (summersaults, maybe? I don't know how well she can still do those as it is getting more cramped).
On a second note, she got to experience her first up north party this past weekend as well. Although it was cold, she took her first swim in John Lake with Chandler and Oscar (sort of), and experienced her first dance party at the cabin (I LOVE lady gaga)!!! As usual there was a lot of meat surprise and puppy chow had by all, so my earlier goals of giving her nutritious tastes during development have somewhat gone out the window.

Week 22-23
I'm continually amazed each time I walk past mirrors, and yet, I was surprised when the bridesmaid dress that I thought was ridiculously huge when I picked it up a month or so ago, now almost fits....do I look that much bigger to you? Also, did anyone else feel like it was harder to breathe at this point when sitting down (I mean from things pressing upwards)? I've been feeling her move more often now and notice that she is a lot quieter (sleeping maybe) when I am at work (walking around and on my feet), and also when I am driving places.... There have been a few times when I've thought I would have been able to feel her from the outside, but most of her movements are still not quite strong enough. Hopefully by the time her dad gets home from Kuwait later this week, there will be some stronger kicks....he's been busy winning the bread to blog, but maybe he'll play her some guitar songs when he gets home...

New week, new worries
It's been a fast/busy couple of weeks and I haven't gotten around to posting any pictures, so I'm sorry to those who care. A lot has been accomplished / worried about, however. I'm sort of surprised at the fact that I get my undies in a bundle when I was always told that I was the most laid back person...We had our ultrasound this past Wednesday. It was exciting to see what was going on inside, but at the same time, I couldn't read that one any better than I could the one at my dad's clinic. Plus, our tech was not in the best of moods....I think I remember someone else having a not so pleasant experience with that as well. She was standing there holding my file waiting for me to arrive (I was not even late), and didn't even let me check in with the receptionist...Whatever. Clint arrived a little later, and they showed him right in. It was exciting to see his reaction to everything (almost as exciting as seeing the baby move around and curl up inside). I've also had minor panicks about child care and the realization that there will be life (and work) after maternity leave. I've been in denial until recently...carseat research has also been a challenge, with the opinions of our carseat expert and mom's sometimes conflicting...along with the poor selection in Target and Babies R Us....I think I have to change my mind again as mine got some bad reviews this past week....So, you are all waiting for the picture updates so I will see if I can remember how to post them again...this is so not self explanatory....stand by for weeks 21-22....Oh, and also the big news is that there's a lot more movement and it really DOES feel kinda like gas without having gas....
