19 days and counting (give or take about 10 more)

Week 37:

Week 37 has snuck up on us, and we are officially full term (early full term). I'm very excited to be GBS negative so we can proceed with staying home as long as we want (although I don't think clint would want to deliver the baby). This week we talked about birth plan stuff at the appointment, and Clint decided he will cut the cord (its kinda chewy - harder to get thru than most think). We've still been busy getting my nice relaxation music in order, and Clint started reading my hypnobirthing book so he can be in the know when the time comes. He's also been nesting (even more than me - I kinda gave up on that in order not to be stressed out and have a stress ball baby). I came home from work this weekend to find the upstairs bathroom painted, new fixtures, shower curtain and towels. I must say it looks nice, but it would have taken me weeks to decide on all that. I still have hopes that he will someday finish with my scrapbook area (he has plans for all of this that I just haven't felt like messing with). I've been kicked out of the corner downstairs as apparently it is too messy, and will be moved into the guest bedroom (where I'm sure its because then he won't have to see my messes:)

As for other things, work has been interesting as our patient care director has decided that if we haven't gotten the flu shot (both of them), then we are required to wear masks into rooms to do patient care (way to NOT EVEN follow CDC guidelines - which I think are questionable anyways....at least if you are going to mandate something, be sure it MAKES SENSE) - this is ridiculous and all's it does is advertise how many health care workers don't get a flu shot and hopefully makes patients question the validity of it anyways. I can't wait to get hounded again this year - maybe after the last couple years Ann Marie will have gotten the point that I will not ever get the flu shot. This is just one of my soapboxes, and since this is a blog, I can say it, yay!

just one of the many demonstrating some of the nonsense of the hype

  3. Wow, your due date has really snuck up!

So how do you know the cord is 'chewy'? Have you tried it or something?? Hehe.

My dream is to have a craft area just for Carolyn, instead of me always moving it around the house. . .

Enjoy the last few weeks! I can't believe it's almost time. I'm getting excited/anxious for you.
