Our week in review

We went for a trot through the garden. Chandler and Oscar seem to really enjoy it. I was very disturbed as my tomatoes are once again getting blossom bottom rot, which I have found to be ok to cut off if you catch it soon enough, but otherwise they get all moldy....less watering next year I guess...

I also decided this week to make home made cream cheese (from yogurt - which I also made myself) for an upcoming food project. To be continued on that one...

Here it is in process:

Channie is enjoying using the baby's things (AKA dressing up in bows - now she really looks like a girl - and she was very interested in reading about dogs and how she might better get along with them...

Week 29:

I decided to practice my story telling skills to some eager listeners:

Just hanging out:

This week we are still waiting for Clint to get home from Kuwait again. Hopefully this is his last trip out there. We are looking forward to getting to spend this fall together as summer has be awash once again. Not sure why it seems like all the projects have to be during the warm fun months....We're even planning a pre-baby vacation to Montreal over Labor Day weekend (someplace not too far was my only stipulation...not interested in the long plane flights these days). I also had my OB appointment where I was pleased to hear that I had only gained 2# since the last visit:) and that I was her skinny patient of the day...not generally something you hear when you weigh this much....maybe she was just trying to make me happy:) So far baby Herrick continues to keep her head down in my lower right side and kick me under my ribs on the left. I enjoy that a lot since its just confirmation to me that she knows what she is doing and wants to come out the right way. Everything else has been going great, except for the sleeping, and I feel bad for Clint when he comes home. I have been taking up the entire bed without him here, and I think it's going to be worse than when Oscar sleeps with us (which there is no way he is going to be able to do anymore with my rolling around). I still look forward to the day when I can lay on my back or stomach comfortably again. I also had to call grandma Ogi over to help with the baby clothes crisis over the weekend as I had gotten 3 bins from a girl at work, and didn't know what or how much to choose. Lets just say we're more than likely set till she's a year old (unless she fits into 18months by then...she might be a big girl, who knows). I think she will be much more fashionable than me anyways. So that is all for now. More next week (or the week after...I better go and make sure I can find my passport. I tend to lose them and that would not be good....

  1. Let me guess, you're making me a cheesecake! Can't believe you're already 29 weeks -- almost there!

I do remember the horrible sleeping (are you getting up a lot to pee?). I couldn't wait to sleep on my back again, and now how do I sleep?? Still on my left side!! I say kick the dogs out of your bed, and Clint can have the guest room. :)

You are not huge at all -- I was like twice your size at 29 weeks. :)

  2. I dread going to bed only because it's so uncomfortable and my hips, shoulders, and back hurt more from sleeping than anything else...my stupid running injury (the one where I couldn't walk over our girls weekend) is coming back too, and this time it's not from working out (which I never get around to doing anymore anyways), so I think I might see PT about it....I guess you don't have to be huge to get pregnancy discomforts, but the extra 20# I'm sure is contributing....

  3. I hope Chandler learned something from that dog book... maybe that they can be friends, not enemies. Also, it is very exciting that you got so many girl clothes, and I wish I had been there to go through it all with you!
